Philosophy

AI can write code, generate images, and summarize documents.

But most real work doesn't happen in a chatbot — it happens in portals, dashboards, and systems that were never designed to talk to anything else.

For decades, integrating with software meant waiting for APIs. Most systems never built them - but they all have UIs.

An AI that can log into a system, navigate it, and do the work — checking eligibility, pulling reports, submitting claims — the same way a person would, but without the person.

Making this real means solving for the complexity that shows up in the real world: auth, edge cases, error handling, variability across systems. That's what we're building at Tightrope.

Our founding team

How we work 🏆

Clarity drives speed

Say what you mean. Make decisions visible.

Direct, because we care

Give direct feedback early. Don't let small issues grow.

Craft is the product

We build things that actually work. Edge cases aren't edge—they're the job.

Own outcomes, not tasks

Real responsibility, real autonomy. Small teams do big things when trust is high.

Tightrope makes computer-use AI reliable enough for the systems businesses actually run on.

Our founding team has spent years building and scaling auth and data platform infrastructure at category-defining companies — Tara as head of integration platform at Merge, Alex as a founding engineer & EM at Stytch.

We spent months talking to companies across healthcare, logistics, insurance, and finance. Different verticals, same wall: critical data locked in systems that will never have APIs.

Browser-based AI changed what's possible. We're building the platform that makes it reliable enough for production.
